The Butts County Pregnancy Center offers free educational classes online or in person. When clients take classes, they earn points that can be redeemed in our resource store, providing them everything they need during and after a pregnancy.
Pregnancy Classes
These include prenatal (while pregnant) care; eating right and avoiding risks during pregnancy; what to expect during labor and delivery, including anesthesia for pain; taking care of baby and bonding with him or her throughout pregnancy, postpartum (after the delivery) care of the new mother, breast-feeding, bottle feeding, bathing baby, CPR, handling emergencies, and nutrition.
Parenting Classes
This series of classes is designed for parents who have lost custody of their children because of an unsafe parenting action and are attempting to learn how to be a better parent in hopes of getting their child out of the foster care system and back in their regular home with their parents. These clients are referred to our classes by DFACS (Department of Family and Children Services). We work with their DFACS Case Worker and the client’s lawyer to keep everyone updated on how the individual classes are going. Additionally, clients who want to learn more about how to be a better parent for their children can take these classes.
Fatherhood Program
These classes are offered to Fathers. These classes teach men how to be a good father and care for their future family. Fathers can take classes and earn points to redeem in our resource store.
Post-Abortion
The Butts County Pregnancy Center provides free help and assistance to the woman (and her significant others) who had an abortion despite access to the risk factors and are being challenged with grief, guilt, or other emotions getting in the way of healing.
